The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the attack at the Bardo Museum in Tunis
At least 19 people died in Tunisia, in a terrorist attack that took place at the Bardo Museum in the capital Tunis. 17 of the victims are foreign tourists: Polish, Italian, German and Spanish – Tunisian Prime Minister announced. Quoted by CNN, he also said that two attackers were neutralized and it is possible that the other three have managed to escape. The terrorists, dressed in military uniforms, had opened fire on a group of visitors who just got off from a bus, inform the authorities in Tunis. Western countries, including the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemned the attack, which the French president described as „a serious moment”. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

The head of state will hold a press conference at the International Airport „Henri Coanda” in Otopeni, informs the Presidential Administration. According to the official program, President Iohannis will attend, today, the Summit of the European People’s Party (EPP) and on Friday at the end of the meeting of the European Council he will also hold a press conference. Romania remains, alongside Bulgaria, among the main sources in Europe for human traffickers, especially among minors – according to a report released yesterday by the Open Society Foundation. The document recommends authorities an action plan to reduce begging with and by minors and monitoring those in vulnerable situations, actions which should be correlated with the anti-poverty strategy.
