Romanian Ambassador in Budapest, Victor Micula, requested an audience at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said official sources. According to them, the meeting is related to the critical statements about Romania made by the Hungarian Ambassador to Bucharest, Zakonyi Botond and to the convocation at the Romanian Foreign Ministry of the Chargé d’Affaires of the Hungarian Embassy in Bucharest. Recently, in an interview to Romanian daily newspaper „Romania Libera” Zakonyi Botond accused Bucharest that it is not interested to complete the transport infrastructure between the two countries and urged Hungarians in Romania to become a autonomous minority. In replay, Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that statements about a possible autonomous status, based on ethnic criteria, is tantamount to an interference in the internal affairs of our country. In addition, according to Foreign Ministry Hungarian ambassador’s statements demonstrate that Budapest is not ready yet to comply with the frame and legal-political bases of the bilateral relationship. Bucharest – Ploiesti motorway is the only one in Romania with three lanes on the sense
The cost for one kilometer of motorway built of Bucharest – Ploiesti motorway could reach about 8.65 million euros, informs the National Company of Motorways. This value represents an average of the price resulting from contracts that ended last year and the one that will govern the works for about three kilometres section auctioned and which finalizes the first 19.5 kilometres of the motorway. According to the Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads (RNCMNR), Bucharest – Ploiesti motorway is the only one in Romania with three lanes on the sense and the original contract ended last year when the requests made by various authorities (Bucharest and Voluntari Town Halls and police) entailed substantial changes in its value. Code orange warning of heat was extended in 7 counties in western and southern Romania
Code orange warning of heat was extended, starting today, in other 7 counties in western and southern Romania in addition to
Arad, Bihor and Satu Mare for which there is already such a warning. According to the National Meteorological Administration, the counties are Timis, Caras-Severin, Mehedinti, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman and Giurgiu where the maximum temperatures will reach 38 degrees and thermal discomfort will be emphasized. Code yellow is maintained in the rest of country, ewith temperature up to 37 degrees. In the 10 counties where there is code orange warning of heat the Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads (RNCMNR) restricted, until 20:00 local time, the movement of vehicles with a maximum weight authorized exceeding 7.5 tonnes. According to a company press release, the measure is necessary to protect the paved roads – of the effect of heavy traffic, in conditions of high temperatures. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
