Romania can not remain in the last place in Europe in terms of innovation performance, considers President Klaus Iohannis

Education and research is the chance of a future that Romania should not miss, said President Klaus Iohannis. Present at the Romanian Academy at the opening of an international scientific conference, Romanian President said that Romania can not remain in the last place in Europe in terms of innovation performance and asked authorities to allocate more money for research. „Research – development – innovation field has exceeded the one hundred percent as the level of structural funds absorption. That is why, a possible solution would be the reorientation of important parts of unspent funds to other areas, togeter with a real prioritization of this area, in terms of public funding. The annual meeting of European diplomacy began last night in Bucharest

The problem of immigrants is one of the main themes at the annual meeting of the Romanian diplomacy, which began last night in Bucharest. Minister of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu said that migration is a challenge in the European Union’s southern neighborhood, which need to develop a joint and united response in this regard. „I think we need to find solutions to treat the migration problem at its source”, said Romanian Minister, „including in countries of origin. It is important to treat the source of problems, instability that exists at southern neighborhood level, fighting terrorism, combating the problems of statehood, let’s say, poor of some of the actors in the region”. Romania remains the most determined supporter of the Republic Moldova

Prime Minister Victor Ponta informed today President Klaus Johannis, in a working meeting, on the developments in relations with Republic of Moldova, according to a posting on a social network. Romania remains the most determined supporter of the Republic Moldova, and on this issue there is a consensus between Cotroceni and Victoria Palace, it is stated in the message posted on the same social network by the communication team of Prime Minister Victor Ponta.
