Extended judicial cooperation between Romania ans Israel
The Romanian Minister of Justice, Raluca Pruna, has signed a common statement with her Israeli counterpart, Ayeled Shaked, to lay the foundations for an extended judicial cooperation between the two countries. In an exclusive interview with Radio Romania correspondent, Dragos Ciocarlan, Ms. Prună spoke about the importance of an extradition procedure, not only with Israel.
Raluca Prună: What I think that Romania has to learn from Israel is the Israeli deontological code for magistrates, a very flexible, elaborate code, that sets very clear obligations. We also discussed the important issue of extradition in the judicial cooperation. We are in a situation, not only with Israel, but also with other countries, that either Romania, or the other part, has to ask for the extradition of certain citizens, that have judicial procedures with the Romanian state. And we think that this kind of cooperation is important as far as the relation with Israel is concerned.
Reporter: Have you also discussed about the Black Cube file?
Raluca Prună: No, we haven’t discussed about the Black Cube file and we couldn’t have discussed it, because it is an ongoing file.
Romanian student injured in Bulgaria
A Romanian student, who was returning from a camp in Greece, organized by means of the Pro-Edu Program, has been hit, last night, in Bulgaria, by a car that left the crash site. Radio Romania editor Nicoleta Balaci has informed that the ambulance has taken the injured student to two hospitals in Bulgaria, that lacked the needed machines to operate him. Ultimately, the student has been taken on his own expense, to the Romanian border and from there he was transported to The Emergency Hospital Floreasca in Bucharest.
