Romania’s President, Klaus Iohannis, has accepted the nomination by the ruling Social Democratic Party (PSD), the MEP Viorica Dancila for Prime Minister, after the sudden resignation of Mihai Tudose. „First of all, this decision must comply with the Constitution and Constitutional Court’s decisions … After consultations, it is clear that PSD has a majority in parliament, so … I decided to offer PSD another chance and designate the person it nominated, Mrs. Dancila, as Prime Minister. And now, PSD has to perform, as both Romanians and I have great expectations”, Iohannis said.
