The issue of European funds is the main subject of the discussions which European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu will have today and tomorrow in Bucharest. The two-day visit has the declared purpose of establishing a close cooperation with the new Romanian government. Corina Cretu will attend a conference on the absorption of European funds along with the Governor of the National Bank of Romania, Mugur Isărescu. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

Romania continues to fight against any form of anti-Semitism

Romania continues to fight against any form of anti-Semitism, racism, xenophobia and discrimination – said President Klaus Iohannis in a message on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed its solidarity with the survivors of the tragic events during the Second World War. January 27, 1945 is the day when the prisoners in the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp were released and it marks the international commemoration of Holocaust victims, established by United Nations resolution in 2005. Job offers in the European Union and in Romania

Farmers are among the most sought abroad, according to the EURES Portal for jobs, where over 600 job ads are posted. Spain’s farms offer 150 jobs while the ones in Denmark and Portugal offer 100 and 30 respectively. At the same time, employers in the United Kingdom are looking for 50 butchers and those in Germany 28 truck drivers. And in our country more than 22,000 jobs are vacant, most of them in Bucharest and in Prahova, Sibiu and Arad counties. The biggest offer is for unskilled workers in garments and for security agents.
