Parliament in Bucharest adopted a solemn declaration on the anniversary of 100 years since the Union of Bessarabia with Romania
Parliament in Bucharest adopted yesterday a declaration in which it considers as fully legitimate the wish of citizens of the Republic of Moldova to back the unification with Romania. The document, celebrating the union of Bessarabia with the Mother Land, Romania, on 27 March 1918, was voted by all the participants in the solemn plenary meeting, with the exception of UDMR parliamentarians, who abstained. Representatives of all parliamentary parties referred, in their speeches, to the unity of language, culture and ideals between citizens on both sides of the Prut River. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
A new edition of the „ARC” camps program, on the anniversary of 100 years since the Great Union, will be launched at Victoria Palace
A new edition of the „ARC” camps program, on the anniversary of 100 years since the Great Union, will be launched today at Victoria Palace, in the presence of Prime Minister Viorica Dancila. A Cooperation Protocol between the Ministry for Romanians from Abroad and the Ministry of Youth and Sport will also be signed. „ARC” camps program addresses to young Romanians from neighboring countries of Romania and in the Balkans, as well as to those from countries like Italy, Spain, France or Germany. The program, at its tenth edition, aims to create and maintain links between citizens and ethnic Romanians in different countries, to provide knowledge about Romanian culture and civilization, to promote the values of the national cultural heritage. The number of pensioners in Romania is decreasing compared to the previous year – National Institute of Statistics
The average number of pensioners in Romania was 5,228,000 people last year, down with 29,000 compared to the previous year. Instead, the average pension increased by 12.8%, reaching 1.069 lei, according to data published today by the National Institute of Statistics. The ratio of the average number of pensioners of state social insurance and the employees was 9 to 10 last year. Pensioners of state social insurance are in the majority, in the total number of pensioners. Regarding pension categories, most people retired for age limit, show data of the National Institute of Statistics. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
