Romania has the chance to become a strategic pivot in this region through reform and modernization in the field of defense, said the Ambassador of Romania to the United States George Maior. He stressed that there will be acquisitions that will make Romania one of the most important regional military actors. George Maior added that our country has now allocated the largest budget in its history for defense, but also the largest budget among the states of the region. „This highlights the projection potential and foreign policy given by a defense policy of this kind, but also our ability to deter intelligently in this NATO frontier zone”, said George Maior. Events organized in Herastrau Park on the occasion of the 50th anniversary since the production of the first Dacia car
Thousands of people attended on Sunday the events organized in Herastrau Park in Bucharest to celebrate 50 years since the production of the first Dacia car. Car enthusiasts have been able to admire in Charles de Gaulle Square an exhibition of vintage cars produced in the last five decades at Mioveni Plant. The dozens of models then participated in a parade which took place between Charles de Gaulle Square and the Triumph Arch. Participants in this event also had areas specially designed for recreation or practicing various sports. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
