The largest digital event organized by the Romanian EU Council Presidency begins in Bucharest
An important technology summit, which is also the greatest digital event organized by the Romanian Presidency of the European Union Council is unfolding in Bucharest starting on Thursday. More than 1,000 relevant actors in the IT sector are taking part in this meeting. Also, the Romanian Minister of Communications and Informational Society Alexandru Petrescu and two European commissioners with attributions in the digital area will be taking part in the event. It is called the Digital Assembly 2019 and is held at the Romexpo Compound.
President Klaus Iohannis has asked European leaders solutions to temper the situation in the Republic of Moldova
The Romanian Presidency has announced that it sent a letter to the president of the European Council, Donald Tusk and the president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, on the situation in the Republic of Moldova. President Klaus Iohannis has asked the two leaders to urgently identify, along with member states, „concrete actions in order to end the current situation, through a negotiated solution in the Republic of Moldova, based on values and principles of the European Union.” Klaus Iohannis says that this crisis which unfolds so close to Romania and the European Union has great impact on stability and regional security which the EU cannot ignore.
The first photo album dedicated to the visit of Pope Francis in Romania is launched in Iasi
The first photo album dedicated to the visit of Pope Francis in Romania is to be launched on Friday in the city of Iasi, during the events organized on the occasion of the Romanian Movie Nights. The album is called „Pope Francis in the Garden of Virgin Mary” and the photographer Cristian Radu Nema is its author. The artist is invited to the festival with a movie on „Mihai Eminescu’s notebooks”, which is due to be screened in two days time.
