Iraqi migrants, caught trying to leave Romania illegally
Ten Iraqi migrants were arrested this morning, trying to illegally leave Romania, through the Nădlac Border Crossing Point 2. People were hiding among the boxes of goods carried by a truck driven by a Turkish citizen. The Iraqis intended to reach Western European states. They are now being investigated for attempt to illegally cross the state border, and the Turkish driver – for migrant trafficking./opopescu
Two people were struck by lightning in Popeni, Vaslui county
Two people were struck by lightning in the town of Popeni, during the storm that took place in Vaslui county. At the arrival of the ambulance crews one of the victims was deceased and the other one had burns on about 30% of the body surface. The latter was transported to the Emergency Reception Center of Bârlad Municipal Hospital. Also in Bârlad, a car was blocked by water. Firefighters intervened to clear the car and evacuate the three people inside the car./opopescu
A new historical maximum price for a gram of gold
The gold gram price has increased today by almost 87 bani, to the value of 203.88 lei, a new historical high. The official price of the gram of gold increased at the NBR quotation, in the first half of the year, from 169.8 lei per gram on January 3-rd to over 200 lei per gram at present. The price of gold also registered significant increases on the international market, where it is at the maximum of the last six years./opopescu
