Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă sent President Klaus Iohannis six proposals from new ministers, three of them from ALDE, for the portfolios left vacant after the ruling coalition broke, and another three from the PSD, for those which the interim expires in the following days. She believes that this does not change the political configuration of the government and does not require a vote of confidence in parliament. On the other hand, the president of ALDE, Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu, draws attention, in two open letters, to the prime minister and to the president Klaus Iohannis, that, based on a decision of September 3-rd of the party’s Central Political Bureau, any person who accepts a public office at the proposal of another party automatically loses the ALDE membership. The turnover in the industry increased by 6.4% after the first seven months of 2019
The turnover in the industrial sector increased by 6.4% after the first seven months of 2019 compared to the same period last year, due to the advance recorded by the extractive and processing industry – according to data from the National Institute of Statistics published today. Increases were also recorded in the intermediate goods industry, the durable goods industry or the energy industry. In July, the turnover in the industry increased by 5.9 percent compared to the previous month, and compared to the same month last year, by 7.1%./opopescu
Liviu Dragnea was removed from Rahova Penitentiary to be heard as a witness at the Bucharest Court
Former social-democratic leader Liviu Dragnea was today removed from the Rahova Penitentiary and taken under escort to the Bucharest Court. He will be heard as a witness in the file in which the former head of the Chamber of Deputies, Valeriu Zgonea, is tried for influence trafficking. The hearing is not public. The former Prime Minister Victor Ponta, who did not appear, was quoted in this case. Valeriu Zgonea was sued by DNA for receiving bribes between July 2012 and April 2013 for appointing a person to a public office. The trial began in January 2019 at the Bucharest Court./opopescu
