Romania”s government to claim responsibility for three draft laws
Romania’s government is expected to claim responsibility for three draft laws on Wednesday. The Permanent Bureaux are to establish the date of the move, Radio Romania reported. The decision was made late on Tuesday as government spokesman Ionel Dancă pointed out on Wednesday: „The government is expected to claim resposability before Parliament. Such responsibilities refer among other things to a delay of retirement in the judiciariy from January 1, 2020 to January 1, 2021. Another responsibility refers to an end to Government Order 51 aimed at ensuring free transport for school children, elderly and disabled people. A third document refers to the budget caps for 2020 as such caps are extremely important in order to establish a budget by the end of the year”.
Education Minister to meet representatives of Romanian publishers
Romania’s Minister of Research and Education Monica Anisie is expected to meet representatives of publishers and publishers’ associations in the field on Wednesday. The event comes after Ms. Anisie recently launched a bid for textbooks to be used by students in their 8th educational year. Ministry officials claimed the talks over the issue should be transparent. Born on July 19, 1973, Ms Anisie is a graduate of the Bucharest University. She was the head on Bucharest Sector 2 branch of the governing National Liberal Party (PNL) since July 2019.
Start-Up Nation programme at its third edition
The third edition of the Start-Up Nation initiative opens at the Parliament Palace in the capital Bucharest on Wednesday. The project is already signed by representatives of the opposition left-wing Social Democratic Party (PSD), the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Romania (ALDE), Democratic Uninon of Ethnic Humgarians in Romania (UDMR), Pro Romania Party and right-wing Save Romania Union (USR). The programme is designed „to support SMEs in accessing grants, professionalism, timelines, quality and comprehensive consulting services. „Start-Up Nation Romania will finance idea dreams!”, according to ads.
Marin Cazacu and Răzvan Suma play Vivaldi and Händel at Radio Romania”s Concert Hall
Two acclaimed Romanian cellists are expected to perform at Radio Romania’s Concert Hall on December 18 at 7 PM. Marin Cazacu and Răzvan Suma will play Vivaldi and Händel with Radio Romania’s Chamber Orchestra conducted by Ferenc Gabor, a graduate of the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin. The programme will also include works by Constantin Silvestri, a major Romanian conductor and composer (an event marking 50 years since his death), and Beethoven’s Symphony 1.
