Hundreds of thousands of Romanians looked for a job during the summer
Hundreds of thousands of Romanians looked for a job during the summer that has just ended. In the last three months, the number of applications has reached a record almost 4 million, according to data collected by the ejobs recruitment platform. Nicoleta Stoian reports.
Reporter: Summer is traditionally one of the quietest times of the year when candidates are more concerned about holidays than changes in professional life. However, this is not the case this year when Romania reached the highest unemployment rate in the last four. According to ejobs, more than 400,000 people looked for work in June, July and August. Most in the age category 25-35 years. The site’s representatives say that if in January or February employers complained that they could not find enough candidates, now there are positions for which they can hardly cope with the volume of CVs received. It was found that young people get hired much earlier and candidates are more willing than before to retrain. In addition, there are specialists who, at least for the time being, accept positions below their level of experience and training. There has also been a distancing from job offers abroad, as well as an increased interest in jobs on the internet. In the last three months, employers have launched more than 90.000 jobs, the areas for which most employees were sought were sales, production, IT, call-center or banking.

Ludovic Orban: Tens of thousands of teachers have participated in such programs, which have been organized either by the houses of the Teaching Staff or by non-governmental organizations that have been accredited to conduct such courses to increase digital skills and must constantly learn . Of course, in addition to these things, there will be lessons on national television, as was the partnership that worked during the state of emergency and later until the end of the school year, there will be lessons that will be broadcast online.
