Romania recorded two new negative records in the last 24 hours
Romania registered two new negative records yesterday regarding the evolution of the coronavirus epidemic. 177 infected people died in just 24 hours and the number of intensive care patients rose to 1093. According to the latest daily assessment, 7304 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed after performing almost 31,000 tests. Most illnesses were again in Bucharest, 845. The capital is followed by Cluj County with over 400 cases. Regarding the coefficient of infections accumulated in the last 14 days, the worst are the counties: Sibiu, Cluj, Sălaj and Timiș, where there are over 6 cases per thousand inhabitants. The threshold of 5 was exceeded in Bihor, Alba and Bucharest. In only two counties this indicator is below the level of 1.5, Olt and Vrancea. (RADIO ROMANIA)

The Constitutional Court postponed today for November 19 the pronouncement of a decision regarding the legality of the appointment of the PSD deputy Florin Iordache in the position of president of the Legislative Council, according to some official sources. The postponement took place in the context of the absence from a court hearing. The court had also postponed a ruling last week due to the absence of Judge Attila Varga, who is the rapporteur in this case. USR and PNL, the parties that attacked the appointment of Florin Iordache to the head of the Legislative Court on October 22 in the Constitutional Court, base their appeals mainly on the lack of the necessary votes provided by law for this appointment, the Liberals highlighting two other aspects Iordache does not enjoy a good reputation and the fact that at the time of his appointment he was a member of the party, which is prohibited by law – notes RRA reporter Diana Surdu.
