Survey on buying vehicles in Romania

Half of the Romanian drivers have postponed buying a new car or have chosen a cheaper one because of the coronavirus pandemic. That is the conclusion of a survey concerning habits of buying new cares, carried out in countries like Romania, the Check Republic, Hungary and Turkey. According to the survey, among the most important aspects taken into consideration by drivers in our country when choosing a car are safety -70%, the price – 68% and fuel consumption. The brand is very important, especially for those between the ages of 20 and 29. A steady increase of interest may be seen in buying electric and hybrid cars but also for alternative fuels but, on the other hand, Romanians don’t want to by a car online. The survey was carried out in September and October 2020, on 570 Romanian drivers.

 

Checkouts are carried out at the Piatra Neamț Emergency Hospital after the fire on Saturday

At the Piatra Neamț Emergency Hospital checkouts are taking place, after a fire that broke out on Saturday at the Intensive Care Unit and 10 people were killed and 7 were injured. Solutions to restart the functioning of the sections are being considered but also a new manager of the medical unit.

Last night, a commission was formed, including representatives from several institutions, to manage reorganizing the Anesthesia – Intensive Care Unit. Today, they will identify a space that will have to be set out for 20 beds and the necessary equipment for the activity of Intensive Care. Meanwhile, today, the Neamţ County Council started consultations on naming a new manager, but representatives of the parties have refused, saying that a professional is needed for the hospital, a man of the system, who needs to be let do his job. The eight manager of the hospital, Lucian Micu, announced his resignation last night. One day before the devastating fire he had decided moving the patients form the third floor to the second floor of the hospital. The Neamț Public Health Directorate said that moving the section and reorganizing spaces didn’t have the institution’s permit.

 

The Foreign Minister suggested the establishment of 748 polling stations

According to a suggestion transmitted by the Foreign Minister to the Permanent Electoral Authority, for the parliamentary elections abroad, 748 should be established. Romanians abroad will be able to vote on two days and the Permanent Electoral Authority and the Telecommunication Service have already started training people who will lead the polling stations.

Th highest number of polling stations abroad will be established in Spain – 140, compared to 143 organized for the presidential elections in 2019, and in Italy – 137 stations, compared to 142 last year. These are the countries with the biggest Romanian communities. Also, in Germany there will be 61 polling stations, compared to 80 for the presidential elections, 50 in Great Britain, compared to 72 last year, and 48 in France. Altogether, in the pandemic context. The Foreign Minister suggested organizing 748 polling stations. This number has been settled following propositions from the Romanian diplomatic missions and consultations with Romanians abroad. Compared to last year’s presidential elections, there are by almost 90 fewer polling stations. According to the Electoral law, Romanians abroad will be able to vote on the 5th and 6th of December.
