The pace of vaccination has slowed in Romania in the last two days. Only about 7,400 people were immunized, the lowest level in 10 days, although by the end of the weekend the number of people wanted had increased. Romania currently has a quarter of the population vaccinated against COVID-19 with at least one dose, most of which have a complete schedule. Specialists point out that all available sera provide a significant degree of protection against the Delta variant of coronavirus, which is more easily transmitted and has already led to an increase in the number of cases in several countries. SARS-CoV-2 positive rate is still low, 0.35%
The daily toll of SARS-CoV-2 infections remains low in the last period. The latest report shows that another 39 people have been diagnosed. The positive results come from over 11.000 tests, so the positive rate is still low, 0.35%. There are currently 290 coronavirus patients in hospitals, 6 more than on Sunday, but at ATI the number continues to fall, now it is 55. INS data on Romania’s trade deficit
Romania registered a trade deficit of almost 9 billion euros in the first five months of the year, increasing by almost one and a half billion compared to the similar period of 2020 – according to INS data. Exports totaled almost 30 billion euros, and imports over 38 billion. Important shares in the structure of international trade are held by transport machinery and equipment, as well as other manufactured products.
