Heavy traffic at Otopeni Airport
It is a busy period at Otopeni Airport with increasing air traffic, and passengers who are going to leave by plane are asked to come to the airport three hours before after, for some destinations, online check-in is no longer accepted, but only at the counter. Also, some countries request PCR tests in addition to the Digital Travel Certificate in the European Union, explained Valentin Iordache, Communication Director of Otopeni Airport:
Valentin Iordache: The main traffic problem in the last many months is the fact that each country had other requirements when entering the country, so for each country we have to be very interested when we go there, especially if we take with us and the kids. For example, in some countries it is enough to have this digital certificate, in others it is not enough you have to have a quick test or a PCR test, there are countries that require both PCR test and quick test, so in each of them we have to check very careful what we are asked, especially since in some countries children are exempt, but the age from which children are exempt from these tests differs. Also, when returning to the country, the yellow lists and the red lists are constantly changing.
Travelers who have a digital certificate and land in Otopeni have special dedicated colors and do not have to wait for specific formalities. (RADIO ROMANIA NEWS)

Virgil Musta: At the moment I don’t think it is necessary because the number of cases is very small, but when these cases increase and hospitalization problems appear again, it is very likely that these new restrictions will appear depending on the level of infection. in that area, depending on the activities being carried out. We have an obligation that through public health policies, public health specialists protect the population against mass illness and death, which can be very, very many. (RADIO ROMANIA NEWS)/aboboc
