Greece is under a red code for heat, and Romanians traveling in this country should be interested if the area they reach is affected by fires – warns the Foreign Ministry in Bucharest. Weather warnings are valid until next week, and temperatures will reach 43 degrees Celsius in some continental areas. The Romanian Sports Minister Eduard Novák, a world champion at the Paralympic Games and European cycling champion, was asked to apologize for a statement he made. He told the silver medalist at the fencing competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games, Ana Maria Popescu, that she could not have won the final even if the budget of the Romanian Fencing Federation had been higher by 5 million lei. The announcement was made by the coordinator of the National Vaccination Campaign, Valeriu Gheorghiță, who also said that it is possible that from September the third dose of vaccine to be administered to healthcare workers and people with high risk of infection. The third dose of anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccine may be administered starting from September to healthcare professionals, the elderly over the age of 65 and the chronically ill, if this is determined by the European Medicines Agency.
