Congestion at Southern custom check points
At the customs in the Southern part of the country there are queues of cars that stretch for miles. For checking formalities, people have to wait in line for dozens of minutes. Tourists have come early in the morning, to avoid congestion. At this time of the year, the traffic is intense at the border, because a large number of Romanians go to Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey for holidays. Most of the Romanians say they are going to Bulgaria, because access to the country is not conditioned by being vaccinated. Representatives of the Border Police recommend that tourists get their information about the travelling conditions but also the “Trafic online” app, where they can see the waiting time for every checking point.
