The number of coronavirus cases has increased at the seaside
On the seaside, where resorts are full of tourists, the incidence of coronavirus cases has increased, but many do not comply with prevention measures. However, local authorities do not yet impose additional restrictions, being encouraged by the positive balance of tourism this season. Hundreds of thousands of people stormed the accommodation units on the Romanian coast, and holiday reservations continue at a high level even now. Those in the hospitality industry say that, from an economic point of view, the balance is a positive one, and at this time they are prerequisites for a long season. The authorities’ warnings about the increasing trend of cases of infection with the new coronavirus, in case of non-compliance with prevention measures, are rather ignored by tourists, on beaches, on cliffs, as in all crowded areas. The epidemiological situation is still within acceptable limits, which, for now, do not impose additional restrictions. Increasing since the beginning of the month, the incidence in Constanța County has reached 0.23 cases per 1,000 inhabitants and seems to remain leveled this week.
