COVID green pass becomes mandatory in certain areas of Romania
Romania is introducing a COVID green pass as of Monday in order to ensure access at certain events in all places where the infection rate has an incidence of three to six per a thousand inhabitants. The document proves vaccination, recovery after a previous COVID illness or a negative test and it is mandatory for access in theaters, cinemas, sports competitions, weddings or christenings. Children aged less than six years old are exempted from this rule. Moreover, cinemas or theaters will only allow access to spectators at a 50% capacity, with a face covering on. Bars, clubs and discos will only allow clients to fill 30% of their capacity and no more than 100 people will be allowed to take part in outdoor meetings.

Delegates from UNESCO have spent four years discussing with locals and the entrepreneurs who have spent the last 14 years to help assemble this geopark. The UNESCO board in Paris will make a decision on this issue in May 2022.
