The Romanian government is sending a second tranche of aid to Ukraine

The task force for managing the situation created by the Russian military aggression in Ukraine has met again to decide on measures to support the neighboring country.

The meeting of the government task force is in full swing, said the spokesman of the executive, Dan Carbunaru.

He announced that the Romanian government has decided to send a second tranche of aid to Ukraine amounting to a total of 3 million euros.

The aid consists of fuel, bulletproof vests, helmets, ammunition and military equipment, food, water and medicine.

The Romanian government has also announced its readiness to take over wounded Ukrainians in the country’s military and civilian hospitals.

Regarding the data related to the flow of Ukrainian citizens who have entered Romania so far, until midnight, there were 47.000 Ukrainian citizens who entered the country, of which 22.785 have already left Romania.

So far, there are 25.000 Ukrainian citizens living in Romania, of which 102 have applied for asylum. The task force meeting is still ongoing.
