Harghita County Council President Borboly Csaba has announced the launch of a fundraising campaign for Beregovo district in Transcarpathia, Ukraine, with which the Harghita administration is twinned.
The president of the Ukrainian region announced the necessary products, in the context in which the number of people who need help is increasing.
Borboly Csaba: „President Rezes Karoly, the president of this district that we are about to twin with, told me that they already have a lot of refugees, a lot of people from Kyiv or the eastern part of Ukraine, and they have to The Harghita County Council is launching a campaign to gather food so that it can be transported to Ukraine to this district, blankets and everything needed to accommodate these people. „People in gyms, cultural centers or other places. Candles are also needed, because electricity is expected to be turned off, and solar-powered battery lamps.”
Several collection points have been set up in Harghita, at Miercurea Ciuc, Gheorgheni, Topliţa, Odorheiu Secuiesc and Cristuru Secuiesc.
Borboly Csaba also stated that he had a discussion with the president of Straseni district, from the Republic of Moldova, with whom Harghita county is twinned, where, for the time being, no help is needed.
