As part of its efforts to help Ukrainian refugees, the Students’ League from Târgu Mureș has so far delivered three transports with aids collected from the city’s population for the Sighet area. The students continue to collect and sort donations offered by the community, both at the League’s headquarters and at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy. There is a great need for medicines, says Paula Pughiuc, coordinator of the collection actions: „There is a great need for medicines, bandages, because there are injured people, there are diabetics who did not get their pills or people who could not make provisions. There is a need for non-perishable food because it is not known when it will be eaten and it must be valid for as long as possible. There s no need for clothes, most of the people managed to take necessary things and many of them are leaving to the West, don’t remain in our country”. The volume of donations is high, and a fourth transport to the requested areas is already being prepared. Paula Pughiuc: „The fourth transport could be in two days, because today we have already received many calls from people who want to make donations, we are preparing to sort and we still have a large number of donations from yesterday till today. A fourth transport should leave in two days, we keep in touch with those from Sighet and, according the needs, we will go either there or to Siret or to other places where the refugees need it”. Donations can be made at the headquarters of the Târgu Mureș Studenta League every day between 8:00 and 20:00./opopescu
