The West University of Timișoara expresses its readiness to take over projects and academic programs of the University of Cernăuţi. UVT states that it can temporarily take over teachers and students, in order to avoid the partial interruption of the flow of activities with students from the University of Cernăuţi. Attempts will also be made to find legal solutions for providing support in completing studies for Ukrainian students. In this regard, an official letter was sent to the University of Cernăuţi. UVT recalls that in the summer of 1940, the management of the Banat – Crișana Social Institute drew up a report arguing and proposing the relocation of the University of Cernăuţi to Timisoara, in order to save it from Soviet occupation.
