A joint moment of solidarity for Ukraine will take place on Saturday, March 12, in front of town halls in over a hundred European cities. This event is organized by Dario Nardella, President of Eurocities and Mayor of Florence. The Association of Romanian Municipalities and the cities of Resita, in the center of Romania, and Iasi, in the northeast of the country, joins the other European countries and express solidarity for Ukraine. The residents of Resita have shown already their solidarity with the Ukrainians fleeing the war. On March 3, the Resita City Hall building was illuminated in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, in solidarity with those who are going through difficult times following the invasion of the Russian army. The people of Iași who want to express their solidarity with the Ukrainian people will gather on Saturday from 15.00 h, local time, in front of the Iași City Hall. This demonstration of solidarity is taking place on the same day in front of the town halls of the big cities of Europe, and the participants are urged to post as many photos as possible on social media, using the hashtag #CitiesWithUkraine./mbaciu
