The Iași County Councilors approved in an extraordinary meeting the allocation of the entire reserve fund of the refugee aid institution from the Vinița and Cernăuți regions, localities twinned with Iași County.
The president of the Iași County Council, Costel Alexe, declared that the amount provided is 100.000 lei. At the same time, a partnership was concluded with the Emergency Inspectorate, so that the Moldova Iași Exhibition Center could be used for the storage of material aid for Ukraine.
Costel Alexe: „Most of the reserve fund we have at the disposal of the Iasi County Council goes to the two regions Vinița and Cernăuți. The Iași County Council together with those from ISU will also establish how our aid will reach the Ukrainian people. What this refugee crisis is looking for, undesirable by the whole human society to the level it has reached today, unfortunately, I would like to tell you one thing: there is no Ukrainian citizen who has reached the territory of our county and has not been treated as a Romanian citizen.
