The UN Agency for Refugees will open an office in Iaşi, in the near future. The decision has been taken after talks between prefect Bogdan Cojocaru and the representative of The UN Agency for Refugees in Romania, Desire Bateck.
During the talks, they have addressed the issue of people coming from Ukraine who go through Iaşi and who need punctual interventions regarding medical assistance and insuring temporary accommodation.
For now, 650 people live in refugee centers. 2,500 accommodation spaces have so far been organized in Iaşi county, for Ukrainian refugees./aionita
