Ukrainian children who arrive in Romania without their parents, be they accompanied by other adults or coming from foster homes from the foreign country, will follow a clear procedure of registration in Romania. An operative group has been established in Maramureş county that will handle only unaccompanied Ukrainian children. Staff from the General Direction of Social Assistance and Child Protection in Maramureş is present around the clock at the Sighetu Marmaţiei border crossing point, to ensure the takeover and protection of Ukrainian children who arrived unaccompanied in our country, but also of people with disabilities.
In DGASPC Maramureş locations, Ukrainian children are offered basic social services, including psychological assistance, where the situation imposes it./aionita
