Ukrainian refugees, Ukrainian students or students from the Republic of Moldova, all contribute to helping those fleeing the bombs and taking refuge in Galați. The refugees arrive in Galați, sad, tired and demoralized and the biggest problem they have is that most of them do not speak either English or Romanian. This is where Moldovan or Ukrainian students who study at the Lower Danube University in Galați and who provide, on a voluntary basis, translator services intervene. The same happens with other refugees from Ukraine, who speak Romanian but also Ukrainian and Russian, so they help their compatriots to communicate in order to find, in Galați, a roof over their heads, a job or a school or kindergarten for the education of the little ones./opopescu
