The county authorities want to integrate into the labor market the refugees from Ukraine who wish to stay in Timis. As the unemployment is very low here, of around one percent, these people could be integrated into companies that are short of employees, the president of the Timis County Council, Alin Nica, has said. Data from the Territorial Labor Inspectorate shows that las year about a thousand workers from Asia were brought to the Timis County. On the other hand, in the first year of the pandemic, 5,000 jobs were lost in the county, and 2,000 of them were recovered in 2021.
As far as the quality of life is concerned, Alin Nica says that it is higher in Timis than in the rest of the country. Alin Nica also mentioned that Timis remained attractive for business people. The number of newly established companies is increasing year by year, and the county is on the second place, after Bucharest, in terms of exports.
