Alert in Caraş Severin caused by a bird flu outbreak found at a farm in Hungary
Veterinary sanitary authorities in the West of the country are in alert because of a bird flu outbreak found in a gees farm in Hungary, not far from the border. The Veterinary Sanitary Direction for Food Safety in Caraş Severin took the first biosecurity measures in the district, said director Pavel Borchescu. In Hungary, there are 6o bird flu outbreaks and, so far, in Békés district, over 4.000 birds have been sacrificed.

Almost 12,000 Ukrainian refugees have entered Romania in the last 24 hours, a 20% rise compared to the day before, says the Border Police. Most of them entered our country crossing the Ukrainian border – more than 4.600 people – and a little more than 900 people crossed the border with Moldova. Almost 1,200,000 Ukrainian refugees have entered Romania, including in the two weeks before the war, from the neighboring country, adds the Border Police.
