Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca has received in Bucharest the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit. The meeting was a good opportunity to highlight the constant position Romania has in its relations with the Arab states and its consistent approach to the Middle East Peace Process, a government communique explains. The two officials have tackled the impact of Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine and the support offered by Romania and partner countries to the refugees. The Romanian Prime Minister reviewed the security situation in the region, given the fact that experts believe that Russia will be waging a war of attrition in Ukraine. Ahmed Aboul Gheit has underlined the efforts of the League of Arab States for finding a peaceful solution to the crisis and thanked Romania for its efforts to supply the Arab countries with grains.
