Ultimul rege al Greciei, Constantin al II-lea, a murit, la vârsta de 82 de ani. Fostul rege şi-a condus ţara din 1964 până la abolirea monarhiei, în 1973. Forţat să plece în exil în timpul celui de-al doilea război mondial, a acces la tron după moartea tatălui său, Paul, însă instabilitatea politică din ţară a culminat cu o lovitură de stat în anul 1967, iar Constantin a fost din nou forţat să fugă din ţară.(BBC SERVICUL MONDIAL – 11 ianuarie)/opopescu/dsirbu
