Several banners and posters with recommendations for tourists have been set on Vadu beach
These days, tourists who arrived on the beach in Vadu, in Constanta, had a surprise coming from the nongovernmental organization Mare nostrum. In this wild place, in the Danube delta biosphere reserve, where there are no touristic places, several banners have been set, containing recommendations for tourists.
The banners contain messages such as “Respect access limits and smiles will come in waves”, underlining that some areas may have restrictions. Wild life needs space and quietness, but we can admire it. That is another message, advising to observe wild animals from a distance. There are other messages concerning the environment: : “Eat and then clean up, avoid single use objects and replace them with more sustainable ones. Throw the garbage in the bin”
Vadu is a protected area, and the growing number of tourists means more and more negative effects on plants and animals species.
The campaign is part of a bigger project, begun two years ago, called “VADUrabil”, which aims to protect the environment and support the development of the local community.
