Romanians stuck in Greece and Bulgaria ask for help from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Approximately one hundred Romanians stuck on a ferry in Greece, due to floods, have disembarked and are to be evacuated, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to the quoted source, the Romanian Embassy in Athens also maintained contact with the representatives of a group of Romanian citizens stuck on a ferry on the Skiathos – Volos route, as a result of the decision of the Greek local authorities to postpone the disembarkation until the weather conditions improve. Regarding the situation in Bulgaria, the Ministry informs that a request for assistance was received at the Embassy in Sofia from a family of Romanian citizens staying in a tourist complex in the Tsarevo area, whose car was damaged by the floods. The Sibiu edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival begins

„Liberty”, the new film by director Tudor Giurgiu inspired by real events that happened in Sibiu during the Revolution of December 1989, will be presented today, in a special preview, on the first day of the Sibiu edition of the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF) . Until Sunday, 25 films will be screened, among them some of the most anticipated Romanian productions of the year, premiered. Every night of the festival, from 9:00 p.m., there will be an open-air screening, in Piaţa Mare in the historic center of Sibiu, where the public will have free access – reported RRA correspondent. The North Atlantic Alliance has no indication that the drone debris found on Romania’s territory was caused by an international attack by Moscow, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this morning in the European Parliament, answering the question of the USR MEP, Vlad Gheorghe. However, the incident demonstrates the risk of an accident caused by the conflict in Ukraine, the NATO official emphasized.
