Emergency call issued by Romania’s USR center-right party

An emergency campaign should be launched in order to inform parents about importance of vaccinating children to prevent measles, mumps and rubella epidemics. An appeal on the matter was launched by the opposition center-right party of Save Romania Union (USR) on Thursday. The party points out the refusal rate is higher in urban areas. USR calls on the country’s Health Ministry to firmly reject antivaccine rhetorics and release credible data on the issue. Hiring additional medical personnel must become a priority in order to ensure access to medical services in vulnerable communities, USR pointed out.
