The Romanian forces did not shoot at the Russian drones in the border area with Ukraine (MApN)
The Romanian forces did not shoot at the Russian drones in the border area with Ukraine, the Ministry of National Defense claims in a post on Facebook. This is disinformation, say the MApN representatives, who specify that Russia attacked the Ukrainian port infrastructure on the Danube, and not targets on Romanian territory, as was falsely affirmed on several social networks. After the Russian attacks from the night of Tuesday to Wednesday on the civil and port infrastructure in Ukraine, the remains of a drone of Russian origin were discovered near the border with Romania, near the town of Plauru, in Tulcea county. Research continues, and MApN informs that in the last 24 hours, indications have been received regarding two possible new areas where fragments of a drone fell, located on the Romanian bank of the Danube, in the vicinity of the town of Periprava.

Romania welcomes Hungary’s unequivocal support for accession to the Schengen Area and land borders
Romania welcomes Hungary’s unequivocal support for our country’s accession to the Schengen Area and land borders, is the message sent by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu at the meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, Viktor Orban. The head of the Romanian executive specifies, in a post on a social network, that he discussed with Viktor Orban on topics of common interest in the cooperation between the two states. Commercial exchanges amount to approximately 13 billion euros, and the two prime ministers agreed that there is still unexploited potential in this regard. The two officials also agreed to start the feasibility studies for the realization of an important project, the Budapest-Bucharest high-speed railway link, a strategic project of regional interest, with an impact on the railway networks in the Central European region.
