Romania will ask the EU for compensation for the significant energy price differences between the west and the east of the continent

Romania will ask the European Union for compensation for the significant energy price differences between the west and the east of the continent. The Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, explained that, for several months, prices in our region are significantly higher than in Western Europe. Romania energetically supports the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine and all these elements create pressure on prices in Romania, stated Sebastian Burduja. He added that the request will be made to the Council of Ministers, at the European level, and indicated that he hopes that our country will be compensated for these price differences.

Romania pays the highest RCA compulsory car insurance policy price in the region

Romania pays the highest price of RCA compulsory car insurance policy in the region, of approximately 220 euros, although the compensations have decreased by 9%, according to the representatives of the Confederation of Authorized Operators and Transporters from Romania. They specify that the average price of RCA in Bulgaria is 100 euros, in Hungary 98 euros and in Poland 120 euros, and the responsibility for this gap rests with the ASF management. The president of COTAR, Vasile Ștefănescu, claims that Romanians pay an extra 10% of the RCA price due to the bankruptcies of the Euroins and City companies, which, although they had reinsurance contracts, the authorities did not recover from the losses. The Financial Supervisory Authority says, however, that it does not intervene on the RCA price, which is calculated on the basis of statistical data from previous years regarding compensation awarded following car accidents, as well as other risk criteria.

The Bucharest Court is debating the request of the sociologist Alfred Bulai to cancel the preventive arrest warrant

The Bucharest court is today debating the request of the sociologist Alfred Bulai to cancel the preventive arrest warrant in the case in which he is accused of abuse of office for sexual purposes and sexual assault. A former teacher at SNSPA, Bulai was pre-arrested on September 5, following a decision of the 1st District Court, but he contested the magistrates’ decision. The day after he was arrested, Alfred Bulai was taken out of police custody and admitted to the Military Hospital, after suffering a heart attack. His health prevented him from being present in court today, but in his first statements related to the charges against him, the former teacher claimed that in his 35-year career there had never been any complaints of any kind against him. He admitted, however, that his students may have performed some sexually suggestive skits and noted that both students and teachers occasionally used profanity./aionita
