John Malkovich is back in Romania
Famous American theatre and movie star John Malkovich returned in Romania’s western city of Timișoara after three highly succesful performances at Timișoara National Theatre last year when he appeared in The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a Serial Killer as Jack Unterweger, a convicted murderer sentenced to life in prison. This time, Malkovich will be the “Infamous Ramirez Hoffman”, a one-man show based on the novel of Chilean writer Roberto Bolano. A John Malkovich premiere sparked protests in Bulgaria last week after angry protesters were irritated with the way Bulgarians were portrayed in George Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man.
