Justice Minister Florin Iordache announced that he will meet today with Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu to discuss about the amnesty and pardon law. He argues that therefore prison overcrowding problem would be solved. „We must take a decision at Government level”, said Florin Iordache,
„I will meet with the Prime Minister and depending on the decision that we will take at the Government level I will inform you. Amnesty, from my point of view, should not be taken into account, but pardon is a phenomenon”. Professional associations also support the pardon because it is an attribute of every state in criminal matters for such an act of clemency. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns Romanian citizens who want to travel outside Romania that a Yellow Code for snow and ice is in force in 23 districts in Bulgaria. In Greece and Serbia Orange Codes for storms, blizzards and ice were issued and a Red Code for strong winds was issued on the Croatian coast in the Adriatic Sea. Warnings of low temperatures were issued in Hungary, Slovakia and southern Poland. In Western Europe there are also warnings of bad weather.
