„Moonlight” a câştigat premiul Oscar fiind desemnat cel mai bun film la ediţia din acest an care s-a desfăşurat în Los Angeles. Iniţial, starurile din filmul „Bonnie and Clyde”, Warren Beatty şi Faye Dunway, au atribuit din greşeală premiul peliculei „La La Land”. Musicalul „La La Land” a câştigat şase Oscaruri, incluzând premiul pentru cel mai bun regizor, Damien Chazelle, şi cea mai bună actriță în rol principal, Emma Stone. Premiul pentru cel mai bun actor în rol principal a fost câştigat de Casey Affleck pentru rolul din filmul „Manchester by the Sea”. /astrugar/menescu
