Romanian President Klaus Iohannis asserts that the Black Sea region must remain a stable and predictable area, pointing out that it needs a better collaboration in the region. „The key is overcoming the historical animosities and identifying the complementarity of interests for each of the countries in the region” the head of state says in a message sent on the occasion of opening the works of the programme „Security in the Black Sea Region – Common Challenges, Sustainable Future”. „The economic dimension must not be underestimated”, said Romanian President. „The Black Sea region represents the entry gate for the oil and gas sent from Central Asia and the Caucasus to Europe. Thus, the security of the energy infrastructure in this sector becomes critical to the energy security of Europe”. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

According to statistics, the interest for this profession has steadily declined and retired doctors are maintained in the rural areas in the absence of the young ones. The family doctors’ crisis also affects Salaj County. The deficit of doctors in Romania reached about 60% because over 3,000 doctors leave Romania to work overseas, said in Zalau officials from the Association of Family Physicians Zalau. The problem also aggravates regarding family doctors. According to local authorities, from the state medical system there is hardly anyone present for family medicine at the residency and the average age of family doctors at national level reached nearly 60 years. His Royal Highness Charles, Prince of Wales, was bestowed on Monday the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the „Babes-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca. The distinction was given for his efforts to preserve the cultural heritage, traditions and diversity of nature in Romania. His Royal Highness reminded that this distinction comes exactly 20 years after his first visit to Romania. In his speech, Charles, Prince of Wales, praised Transylvania and the way in which this part of Europe preserves the diversity of nature, the harmonious way in which people live in traditional communities, the multiculturalism and the manner in which people keep their inheritance.
