Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu attends the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg. Among the topics to be discussed are the situation in Syria, the one in Iran and the relationship with the European Union – the Russian Federation. At the same time, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini will provide information on developments in Gaza and Venezuela. Minister for Romanians Abroad Natalia-Elena Intotero proposed signing a memorandum of cooperation between Romania and Spain regarding the possible homecoming of the Romanians who want to do so. The dignitary made the proposal during a meeting she had in Madrid with the Deputy Minister and Secretary General for Immigration and Emigration Marina del Corral. She accepted the proposal noting that the two countries share common experiences regarding migration. Minister Natalia Intotero presented the campaign to be launched in May – „Home information! Safety in the world!” – as well as the programs which the Government implements in support of Romanians who would like to come home. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
The National Health Insurance House announced that it will print new health cards
Although some Romanians have not even taken their old health cards and others have not validated them, they will receive others this year. The National Health Insurance House announced that it will print new health cards as some documents will expire. Romanians have over 14 million health cards of which almost two million have not yet been activated by the holders, according to the National Health Insurance House. First issued cards lose their validity this year so they will be replaced by new ones. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
