Matteo Salvini comes to Bucharest
Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini will arrive today in Bucharest to discuss with his Romanian counterpart Carmen Dan about the Romanian community in Italy. According to a communiqué issued by the Interior Ministry in Rome, Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini will meet in Bucharest with his Romanian counterpart Carmen Dan and with Deputy Prime Minister Ana Birca. Two months ago, Matteo Salvini accused Romania and Bulgaria of sending slaves to Western Europe, demanding measures to curb trafficking in human beings. The Interior Ministry in Rome, leader of the far-right League, expressed his willingness to discuss with his colleagues from the two Community countries about the implementation of measures to control transport and people, a kind of „transparent transport management, even a public transport system to stop the business of organized crime groups”. Romanian Army Day will be celebrated this year by events organized in the main garrisons in the country and in military bases in outside theaters of operations – the Defense Ministry announces. In Bucharest, the activities began on October 17th, by „The Romanian Army Day in Schools” campaign. This includes exhibitions of technical and military equipment, military music concert and military career promotion stalls. The event takes place until Wednesday, and runs until Wednesday. Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns Romanian citizens planning to travel to Greece
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs Romanian citizens who are, transit or want to travel to Greece that the Greek Meteorological Service forecasts showers and thunderstorms and also hailstorms and wind intensifications for today and tomorrow. Romanian citizens can request consular assistance at the Romanian Embassy’s telephone numbers in Athens, the calls being redirected to „Contact and Support Centre for Romanian Citizens Abroad”.
