Following the fire at the „Matei Balş” Institute in Bucharest, over 100 patients were evacuated, being transferred to other pavilions of the medical unit and to other hospitals in the capital. Four patients were transferred to Witing Hospital, two of them with mild forms of COVID-19 are stable, and one patient in serious condition was transferred to the Military Hospital. Another patient who arrived at Witing Hospital in an aggravated condition was stabilized and remains in medical care, the Transport Ministry said. Prime Minister Florin Cîțu sends his sincere condolences to the families of the victims from Matei Balş Hospital in the capital. He states, in a message on Facebook, that all measures have been taken to stabilize the situation as soon as possible and to immediately transfer some patients to other hospitals in Bucharest.
