War refugees from Ukraine have arrived in the Stiuca commune, in the county of Timis

The authorities in the Romanian County of Timis have prepared 360 education institutions where refugee children from Ukraine – from preschool children to high school students – could be received to continue their studies, in eight places where there are Ukrainian speaking communities. So far only a 16 year old girl applied to be included in the highschool network to continue her studies. „We have 360 places available for children, in case refugees will come in the county in the upcoming period, in schools in Stiuca (60), Bethausen (20), Masloc – with schools in Remetea Mica and Alios (100). Here, pupils could take part in educational activities. There is also room in classes at secondary schools in Pietroasa Mare (40), Banloc (40) and Barna (50, in Poganesti)”, the head of the School Inspectorate, Marin Popescu, has said. For kindergarten kids, the School Inspectorate is preparing packages with objects for personal hygiene, clothes and writing materials, which they will all receive, even if they are here only for a few days of transit. So far, refugees from Ukraine have arrived only in the Stiuca commune, in the county of Timis.
